Enhanced Illness Management and Recovery Foundations

Developed by CPT in consultation with experts, E-IMR, is an augmented or “enhanced” version of IMR with the Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) principles integrated into the intervention to better serve individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness and a co-occurring substance use disorder. Practitioners across a range of service lines gain a shared language, foundation of person-centered, recovery-oriented principles and proven strategies to use when delivering care to individuals with COD. This approach helps practitioners, and the individuals they serve, identify the interaction between substance use, mental illness and utilize strategies to reduce and manage symptoms and support them in living their best lives.

Training includes:

  • A robust mixture of virtual workshops and online learning modules
  • Applied practice and consultation
  • E-IMR Manual and associated materials
  • E-IMR Foundations Certification
  • Up to 32 Continuing Education Units.

Testimonial

IMR has changed how I practice. It has opened my eyes to starting with the basics, which I might sometimes miss if I wasn’t so familiar with the modules. Using the goal sheet has been inspirational to clients because something about writing it down and tracking it really motivates folks. Then I love being able to reflect and celebrate with clients as they experience progress and check things off their goal sheet.
