We are changing our name. Here’s why.

November 21, 2019

We have some very exciting news to share with you about the evolution of our organization. On December 4, 2019, we will be announcing our new name, Center for Practice Transformation.

As the Center for Practice Transformation, we will continue to fulfill our mission of providing training, research and consultation that inspires, challenges, and motivates practitioners toward exceptional, empirically informed and effective recovery-oriented care.  We chose our new name so we can focus on the nature and results of the emerging models, practices, and solutions we bring to the clinical workforce.

As always, our commitment to our mission remains the highest priority.  By changing our name, we are embracing who we have always been: an organization that conducts research and evaluation, and educates and empowers practitioners to transform their practices in order to provide exceptional care to individuals affected by mental illness, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.

The name change does not affect our affiliation with the University of Minnesota, the College of Education and Human Development, or the School of Social Work. This evolved identity will not affect our shipping and billing addresses, tax identification, email addresses, or phone numbers:  all of these will remain the same.

However, our new website url will be PracticeTransformation.umn.edu. Please update any bookmarks or links to our site to help us with this transition.

Thank you for your continued support, we look forward to launching our new name and brand on December 4, 2019.

Sincerely,

Julie L. Rohovit, Ph.D.
Interim Director, Director of Training
Center for Practice Transformation
