MNCAMH to Provide E-IMR Training For Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS) Providers
Beginning June, 2019 MNCAMH will begin E-IMR training for Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS) providers at four Minnesota locations: Marshall, Winona, Bemidji, and Brooklyn Center. The training will consist in-person training that includes didactic instruction, discussion, written activities and a heavy emphasis on skills rehearsal. The training will cover a time period of one year using consultation via MNCAMH’s Applied Learning Lab that provides ongoing support in the learning and professional development change process. Training also includes an assessment of practitioner competence. Participants are assessed at three time points: pre-training, mid-training, and post-training. Feedback may help MNCAMH modify some of the training as needed to meet the needs of the agency and participants. At the conclusion of the training, the Center provides the agency leadership with a report comparing pre-post results as well as participant feedback about the training experience.
