Strengthening Your Supervision Skills through Socially-Just Frameworks *NEW*

This workshop is designed to engage “seasoned” supervisors with several socially-just supervision frameworks. Included in this engagement will be clarifications around the similarities and differences of additional connected roles in supervision, namely advising, coaching, and mentoring. Attendees will be guided through these frameworks through role-play practice and reflection to build upon their previous supervision experiences and knowledge of the role of identities and power in the supervision relationship. Suggestions and better practices on how best to inspire and support commitment, as well as assess progress will also be provided.

This is not an introductory workshop. New and/or emerging clinical supervisors are encouraged against registering for this workshop. This is an intermediate to advanced-level workshop and will most resonate with “seasoned” clinical supervisors (those with, at least, three years of clinical supervisory experience). Successful completion of CPT’s Beyond 101: Negotiating and Utilizing ‘Self’ in Supervisory Relationships: Intersections of Culture and Power is strongly recommended prior to engaging in this workshop

After completing this workshop, participants will be able to:
