I-RISE Workshops: Increasing Representation and Inclusion in Supervisor Education
The Center for Practice Transformation is pleased to announce the launch of I-RISE: Increasing
Representation and Inclusion in Supervisor Education, a grant-funded* clinical supervision training program. Awarded by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), the mission is to expand the diversity of Minnesota’s behavioral health supervisors by funding supervisor training for Minnesota’s underrepresented practitioners. According to a 2022 MDH report, 87% of social workers and 89% of other mental health providers identify as white. This grant is essential to enhancing equity and ensuring that Minnesota’s behavioral health workforce better reflects the communities it serves.
Over the next 20 months, I-RISE will fund the cost of training for social work, marriage and family, and clinical counseling practitioners from underrepresented communities to attain the training necessary to be a board-approved licensing supervisor. Participants will also have the opportunity to receive CPT’s Certification in Clinical Supervision at no cost. For more information on I-RISE eligibility and registration, details can be found here.
