The Importance of the Therapeutic Milieu in Treating Co-occurring Disorders
The milieu or context of therapy is often overlooked in terms of its importance to the treatment of co-occurring disorders. This presentation will provide background on the therapeutic milieu and how it links to Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment. An example of how Wayside House uses its therapeutic milieu in treatment is provided as well as some suggestions incorporating this information into existing programs treating co-occurring disorders
