Enhanced Illness Management and Recovery Foundations Training: Spring 2022

March 10, 2022 through May 19, 2022
Delivered Virtually Thursdays 2-4 p.m. (CST)

What is E-IMR?

Enhanced Illness Management and Recovery (E-IMR) is an emerging evidence-informed intervention developed by CPT in consultation with experts in the field.  E-IMR helps practitioners integrate care for people experiencing serious mental illness and substance use disorders. Innovative and effective, this new care model combines two proven practices: Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment and Illness Management and Recovery. Practitioners gain a shared language and repertoire of cognitive behavioral, motivational, and educational strategies to use when delivering care to individuals with mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.

E-IMR Foundations Training: Spring 2022

Our intensive E-IMR Foundations training develops participants’ working familiarity with E-IMR’s framework, principles, modules, and practice opportunities to develop and hone requisite E-IMR skills. The training experience is comprised of two complimentary and required components: Virtual Workshops and our innovative Applied Learning Lab modules. Training runs for 11 consecutive weeks and participants can earn up to 32 CEUs.

Virtual  Workshops

Our workshops include a robust mixture of facilitated discussion, interactive skills practice, modeling, and coaching. Each workshop focuses on a specific E-IMR skill, strategy, or principle. Our virtual workshops are delivered via Zoom and are 2 hours in length.

Applied Learning Lab (ALL)

Each week, participants have access to additional E-IMR resources and applied clinical exercises through the ALL. Each All module aligns with the virtual workshop and provides participants with additional opportunities to engage with the CPT trainer and workshop colleagues. Participants should plan to spend 30-45 minutes engaging with the ALL each week.
